Zhakathoom Fantastic stoner metal from Sweden with a clear and fresh vocal that I find really fitting for the music and the tales it weaves.

Chaaaaaaaaarles the hammer! Favorite track: Charles the hammer.

Every single track here is a work of alchemic wizardry. Take, the opening roar of 'The Wolf's Hook' where giant Riffs, charged with fuzz, and crushing heaviness, blast off relentlessly while ghastly and powerful vocals build to an epic chorus. Or the purely Sabbath and Pentagram meet the modern crunch of Electric Wizard of 'Exterminate', where the vocals are just the cherry on top of a magnificent song, with their Classic Metal tone, that has almost a Ghost touch to them. The vocal delivery has something weird and unique to it. Martin Missy, sounds like a magic mixture of Bobby Liebling, Lee Dorrian and John Garcia, turning from a full-throated howling animal to a ghastly, almost eerie master of ceremonies in seconds. The whole record is just one of those magic, incredible occurrences where alll that i love in this type of music seems to come together: heaviness, mood, energy, catchiness and a unique special vibe that cannot easily be described. It's evocative, it makes the head bang, its heavy, its melodic, retro and devoted to the classic roots of its genre. But yet it has that special touch that makes it stand out from other derivative bands. It's a classic.
